One of Magrabi Foundation’s most celebrated partnerships has taken place in Cameroon, Central Africa. Dr. Akef El Maghraby established the Magrabi ICO Cameroon Eye Institute (MICEI) in 2016. Covering 50,000sqm of land, MICEI provides high-quality eye care services and training, to raise eye care capacities in the CEMAC region. Today, MICEI treats hundreds of patients per day. The Institute adopts a sustainable social business model, which focuses on several eye care subspecialties.
