World Sight Day 2019

In accordance with this year's theme “Eye Care Everywhere” Magrabi foundation has organized several outreach convoys covering a large geographical area of the unprivileged parts of Egypt, the first four convoys have examined 1270 residents, in addition to the convoys, we’ve announced a free examination day in all Magrabi Foundation's satellite clinics.

Magrabi’s Screening for Eye Health in Schools

The concept of school screening is about the early detection of children with high vulnerability to specific diseases or disabilities. Most public schools all over the world periodically screen large groups of students, ideally between kindergarten and the third grade to identify if any children may have a disability or chronic disease and not identified yet.

World sight day

World Sight Day, observed annually on the second Thursday of October, is a global event meant to draw attention on blindness and vision impairment. The Lions Club International Foundation originally initiated it in 2000. Then it was integrated into the VISION 2020 strategy which is coordinated by IAPB (International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness) in cooperation with the World Health Organization.
