Professional Education and Training Programs

The Professional Education and Training unit is dedicated to the team approach in matters of eye health care. Therefore, the unit is committed to advocate for the establishment of eye health care teams in Egypt and the region through continuous education. The unit is responsible for running training and educational programs in response to the rising needs and demands of the eye health care community and workforce, and in alignment with the Foundation’s approach to an equitable, sustainable, and comprehensive eye health care. The Professional Education and Training Unit has a strategic partnership with CBM in the form of Egypt’s Institute for Community Ophthalmology EICO, the first training institute dedicated to Community Ophthalmology in Egypt and the Middle East.
